Online Casino Designers Prepare for Android Honeycomb

February 8th, 2011

Android 3.0 (also known as Honeycomb) is the next mobile communication innovation from Google. All though online casino designers have just started releasing apps for Android v2.2, they are already preparing for the launch of the next new operating system.
The Consumer Electronics Show shown a demo last week of the Honeycomb (CES). The demo revealed that the phone will make use of 3D technology to create hologram-like effects. Android v3.0 will also run Google Maps 5 and all of Google’s latest mobile software.

Online casino designers can take advantage of the 3D capabilities of the new operating system. Operators are already attempting to create 3D games at online casinos, and the capability to do so in the mobile market opens up a wide range of possibilities.
Google Talk will be featured on Honeycomb, making the idea of mobile live dealers completely feasible. It will also support the tabbed browsing, perfect for poker players that enjoy multi-tabling.

With a device that presents so many general technological innovations, it should be easy for online casino operators to use them to their advantage. The Android market continues to grow rapidly, and it is important for online gambling developers to appeal to its users
